Teams

Premium

This is part of ScriptedEssentials Premium. See what's in each edition.

Teams let you organise the cast, control friendly fire and change how team colours appear. The plugin provides its own /team menu unless vanilla teams are enabled in config. Managing teams requires scriptedessentials.admin.

commands
/team # the team GUI

Alias /teams.

Making teams

commands
/team create <name>
/team list
/team info <name>
/team join <team>
/team leave
/team <name> delete
/team <name> rename <new>

/team list is clickable, click a team to see who's in it.

Members

commands
/team <name> add <player>
/team <name> add all
/team <name> add random <amount>
/team <name> remove <player>
/team <name> remove all

add random <amount> picks from whoever isn't on a team yet. Use it to split unassigned players between teams.

Settings

commands
/team <name> color <color>
/team <name> friendlyfire
/team <name> nametags
/team <name> seeinvis
/team <name> tabcolor
/team <name> nametagcolor
/team <name> priority <0-1000>
Setting What it does
color Chat colour
friendlyfire Whether teammates can hurt each other
nametags Whether nametags show above teammates
seeinvis Whether teammates see each other invisible
tabcolor Team colour in the tab list
nametagcolor Team colour on nametags
priority Tab order, lower is higher up

tabcolor and nametagcolor are separate on purpose. Colour the tab list for the audience, keep nametags plain in-world so they don't give positions away.

Per-viewer overrides (/team viewer)

commands
/team viewer <player> <nocolors|glow> <on|off>
Option What that viewer sees
nocolors No team colours at all
glow Teammates glow through walls

Changes what one player sees, not the team. Use it to give the person filming a different view without changing what the rest of the cast sees.

Vanilla teams instead

yaml
team:
  # true hands /team back to vanilla Minecraft
  vanilla-teams: false

vanilla-teams: true and /team passes straight through to minecraft:team. Applies on /se reload.

Your teams aren't deleted

They just aren't reachable until you switch back.

NPC teams

NPC groups can have a team colour:

commands
/npc group team <group> <color|off>

See NPC groups.
