Access locks

Use these to control access while you're setting up or recording. Server lock controls joins, dimension locks control travel, and chunk ban blocks access to a specific chunk.

Server lock (/serverlock)

commands
/serverlock on
/serverlock off
/serverlock whitelist add <player>
/serverlock whitelist remove <player>
/serverlock whitelist list

When locked, ops and players on the lock whitelist can join. You can add players who've never joined, so the cast is set up before the first session.

Locking at a player count (/maxplayers)

commands
/maxplayers <amount|off>

Locks the server automatically once that many players are online, same lock as /serverlock. Useful if you want the server to seal itself once the cast is all in, without you needing to watch for it. /maxplayers off removes the limit. Running it with no argument shows the current limit.

Dimension lock (/dimension)

commands
/dimension <dim> lock
/dimension <dim> unlock
/dimension <dim> whitelist add <player>
/dimension <dim> whitelist remove <player>
/dimension <dim> whitelist list
/dimension list

Alias /dim. Stops players going into a dimension through portals. Each one has its own whitelist, so two people can have the Nether and nobody else.

/dimension list shows what's locked. Ops and players with scriptedessentials.admin bypass dimension locks.

Chunk ban (/chunkban)

Premium

Chunk ban is part of ScriptedEssentials Premium. See what's in each edition.

commands
/chunkban # the chunk ban shulker
/chunkban add <player> # make someone immune
/chunkban remove <player>
/chunkban list

Drop the shulker box in a chunk and players can't enter that chunk until it's picked back up. Ops are always immune, plus anyone on the list.

/chunkban give and /chunkban item also give you the shulker.

Silent ban (/ban)

commands
/ban <player> [reason]

A normal ban entry and a kick, but nothing announced. Only the admin who ran it sees anything.

yaml
ban:
kick-message: "&c&lYou have been banned from this server by an Administrator"

A reason goes on a second line of the kick screen.

Recording session joins

A recording session blocks joins too. See Recording Mode.
