Freeze & control

Use these when players need to stay in place or when you're controlling a scene from your own account. Be careful with selectors like @a, as they can affect everyone at once.

Freeze (/freeze, /unfreeze)

commands
/freeze <player|selector>
/unfreeze <player|selector>

Frozen state is saved, so someone frozen before a restart is still frozen after. prevent-chat and prevent-commands decide whether they can still talk or run commands, both off by default. Settings in Player & combat.

Sudo (/sudo) (Premium)

Premium

Sudo is part of ScriptedEssentials Premium. See what's in each edition.

commands
/sudo <player> <command>

Runs a command as someone else. For when a player needs to "type" something on camera.

It uses their permissions

The command runs with the target player's permissions, not yours. Sudo doesn't give them permission to use a command they couldn't normally run.

Blocking private messages (/disablemsg)

commands
/disablemsg <player>

Blocks /msg, /tell, /w and /whisper to that player, minecraft: and bukkit: versions included. Run it again to undo.

Private messages are also blocked for non-ops during a recording session and while chat is muted.

PvP (/pvp)

commands
/pvp <on|off>
yaml
pvp:
  enabled: true
  show-as-title: false

show-as-title: true announces the change as a screen title instead of a chat line. Whether PvP is on or off is remembered across restarts.

Stopping people using commands

To block specific commands for non-ops, see the command blocker.
