Making a kit

Put the items, armour and equipment you want into your inventory, then save the kit:

commands
/kit create <name>

Using a name saves the kit straight away. Use the create menu below if you also want to set its options while making it.

The create dialog

commands
/kit create
/kit new

Same thing without a name, or the + Create Kit button in /kit. You get a dialog:

  • Kit name - text box
  • Cooldown - slider, seconds
  • Who can claim - everyone, ops only, custom permission
  • Randomize on claim
  • Glowing icon
  • One-time use

Hit Create and it saves your inventory with those settings. Tick randomize and the randomization dialog opens straight after so you can set it up. See Random kits.

Nothing here is final. Every setting can be changed later from the kit's manage menu.

Cooldowns

The Cooldown dialog is a slider. If you'd rather type it:

commands
/kit setcooldown <name> <duration|none>

Durations look like 30s, 5m, 2h, 1d.

Who can claim it

The Permission dialog, or:

commands
/kit setperm <name> <op|everyone|custom>
/kit permissionall <op|everyone|custom> # every kit at once
Value Who can claim it
op Ops
everyone Anyone
custom Anyone with scriptedessentials.kit.<name>

Ender chest

Save Ender Chest in All Settings stores your current ender chest with the kit. Claiming the kit then fills the player's ender chest too.

commands
/kit saveechest <name> # store it
/kit skipechest <name> # drop it

Updating the items

Update Items overwrites the kit with what you're carrying now. Or open the Item Grid and drag things in and out by hand, it saves when you close it.

The grid is the one bit that has to stay a chest menu. You can't drag items around in a dialog.

Overwriting

yaml
kit:
  allow-overwrite: true

With this on, /kit create over a name that exists replaces it. Turn it off if you want to prevent accidentally replacing a kit with the same name.
