Random kits

Random kits change the loadout when they're claimed. You choose what can vary, so you can keep the same items but change their durability, or let the materials and amounts change as well.

Open it from the kit's manage menu, Randomization. Everything's a toggle, dropdown or slider.

What can vary

Setting What it does
Randomize enabled The master switch
Material tier Which materials armour and weapons can turn into
Randomize durability Gear comes in worn. Min and max % damage sliders
Randomize enchants Enchant levels swing up or down. Slider for how far
Randomize amounts Stack sizes vary. Slider for how much, in %

Durability, enchants and amounts have separate switches. Choose Keep Original for the material tier if you want the materials to stay the same while the other options vary.

Min can't sit above max on the durability sliders. If you drag it past, it gets pulled back down and tells you.

Tiers

Tier Materials
Keep original Whatever you saved. Only the other options vary
Leather/Chain + Air Leather, chain, or nothing
Leather/Chain/Copper Leather, chainmail or copper
Leather/Chain/Copper/Iron Leather, chainmail, copper or iron
Copper/Iron Copper or iron
Copper/Iron/Diamond The default
Iron (majority) Mostly iron, some diamond
Diamond (majority) Mostly diamond, some iron
Diamond/Netherite Diamond or netherite

Air is a real result

Leather/Chain + Air can produce an empty slot. Don't use it if a player must always receive that piece of gear.

Custom material pool

If the tiers don't fit, build your own. It's in the chest randomization panel rather than the dialog, from /kit manage, Custom Material Pool. Pick which materials go in and give each a weight, so iron x3, diamond x1 means iron comes up three times as often. Air can go in the pool too.

Setting a tier clears the pool. Building a pool overrides the tier.

Commands

You can also change the main options with commands:

commands
/kit randomize <name> <yes|no>
/kit settier <name> <0-8>
/kit setrandomopt <name> <durability|enchants|amounts>
/kit randominfo <name>

Tier numbers go in the order of the table above, 0 being keep original.
