Nicknames & Skins

Nicknames and skins let you change how a player appears for a recording. Set a name on its own, copy a skin, or use /nick skin <user> to apply both together.

Nick data is kept in the nicks/ folder, and skins are cached in nicks/cache/.

Nicknames (/nick)

commands
/nick <name> # yours
/nick off # remove yours
/nick <target> <name> # someone else's
/nick <target> off
/nick info [player] # history
/nick clearhistory
/nick help

& colour codes work if nickname.allow-colors is on.

Skins (/skin)

commands
/skin <player> # that player's skin
/skin off # back to your own
/nick skin <user> # nickname and skin in one

Skin lookups can take a moment and successful results are cached. Apply the skin before recording and check it from another player's view.

Keeping nicknames through death (/nick keepnicks)

commands
/nick keepnicks <on|off>
yaml
nickname:
  keep-on-death: false

With this off, death can clear the nickname. In Premium, if a previous nickname is offered when the player rejoins, they can accept or decline it:

commands
/nick reequip accept
/nick reequip decline

Decline and they won't be asked about that name again.

Admin (/nicklist, /nick resetall)

commands
/nicklist # every nickname in use
/nick resetall # wipe them all, confirm within 10 seconds

yaml

  enabled: true

The plugin won't start with NickAPI installed, both change how names and skins get sent out. See Integrations.
