Special Items
These are the items and effects you can use for a scene, from orbital rods to kick sticks. Some are destructive, so test them away from anything you need to keep.
| Command | What you get |
|---|---|
/orbitalstrike |
The orbital rod menu: strikes, bows, stasis, pearls and more |
/kickstick |
A blaze rod that kicks whoever you hit |
/randomxp |
A random XP level for each non-op |
/randomhead |
Random player heads |
Orbital rods (/orbitalstrike)
/orbitalstrikeAliases /orbital, /os. Players only. Opens a dialog menu with every rod type as a button, hover one to see what it does.
| Rod | What it does |
|---|---|
| Stab Shot | A column punched straight down from the sky, drilling through everything below the target |
| Nuke Shot | TNT gathers overhead, spreads into rings and rains down over a wide area |
| Wolf Rod | Drops an armoured pack of wolves on you that fights for you until they die |
| Wither Cannon | Bursts blue wither skulls out of one point above the target in a dome. They chew through obsidian, water and lava |
| Lightning Cannon | Calls a storm of lightning bolts down around the target |
| Railgun | A bow or crossbow that fires a fan of arrows that one-shot whatever they hit |
| Arrow Stab | Wherever its arrow lands, a tight column of arrows follows it in at the same angle |
| Arrow Volley | Wherever its arrow lands, a volley of arrows rains in over a long strip in the direction you shot |
| Group Pearl | Grabs the stasis pearls sitting in a chunk; using the rod drops them from the sky, pulling whoever threw them |
| Pearl Cannon | Not a rod. Cannons you place from the menu: pearls thrown inside one vanish, then whoever threw them lands at a spot you set |
| Void Hook | Whatever you hook with it drops into the void when you reel it in |
| Stasis Rod | Reel it in to teleport back to the spot saved on the rod |
| Stasis Totem | When your last one pops, it teleports you to the saved spot |
| Command Rod | Runs a command when you use it, with {player} and {x} {y} {z} placeholders |
Click a rod to set it up. Each one has its own settings, shown as sliders, toggles or text fields, for example rings and height on the Nuke Shot, or the command text and whether it runs as console or player on the Command Rod. Stasis rods and totems let you type a location or press Use My Spot to fill in where you're standing; the Group Pearl needs you to stand in the chunk with the thrown pearls and press Grab Pearls Here first.
Every page also has an Amount to give slider (1-64), a preset name field so you can save and reload a setup later, and a Give ✔ button that hands you the rod.
Some of these wreck the world
Nuke Shot, Stab Shot and the Wither Cannon can destroy terrain. Select the area and make a chunk save before using them, or back up the world. Rollback only works for changes that were logged, so don't assume it can undo every strike.
Pearl Cannon
The Pearl Cannon isn't a rod. Open it from /orbital, set a radius, a destination and a delay, then stand where the cannon should be and press Create Here. It's on straight away.
While a cannon is on, any ender pearl thrown inside its radius vanishes after a second, so it never teleports the thrower the normal way. Once the delay is up (5 seconds unless you change it), the thrower lands at the destination.
The destination has its own X, Y and Z boxes. Leave Y empty to land on the highest block at that X and Z, or fill it in for an exact spot. Use My Spot fills all three in with where you're standing. The destination can be in another world.
View Active Cannons lists every cannon you've made, green if it's on. Click one to turn it on or off, change its settings, move it to where you're standing, or delete it. Cannons are saved, so they're still there after a restart.
Reach
There's no range. Rods fire at whatever block you're looking at, however far away it is, as long as that part of the world is loaded.
Turning them off
orbital:
disabled: falsedisabled: true stops every strike and bow rod from firing, rods already handed out included: Nuke Shot, Stab Shot, the Wolf Rod, Wither Cannon, Lightning Cannon, Group Pearl, Pearl Cannon, Railgun, Arrow Stab and Arrow Volley. It doesn't affect Stasis Rods, Stasis Totems, the Void Hook or Command Rods, those keep working regardless. No in-game override, the file is the only switch.
Orbital wolves die to /killall like anything else, and /killall wither_skull clears the Wither Cannon's skulls. See Clearing entities.
Kick stick (/kickstick)
/kickstickA blaze rod. Hit a player with it and they're kicked, nothing announced.
Random XP (/randomxp)
/randomxp # 0-30
/randomxp <max>
/randomxp <min> <max>Every non-op gets a random level in the range. Ops skipped.
Random heads (/randomhead)
On the Inventory & Items page.
