Managing NPCs
Premium
This is part of ScriptedEssentials Premium. See what's in each edition.
Open /npc and choose All NPCs to find an NPC. Left-click its head to edit it, or right-click to teleport to it. If you'd rather use commands, these cover the same jobs:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/npc list |
Every NPC, id, name, location |
/npc remove [name] |
Delete one, or the nearest if you don't name it |
/npc clear |
Delete all of them |
/npc hide [name|id|all] |
Hide without deleting. Survives a restart |
/npc show [name|id|all] |
Bring hidden ones back |
/npc tphere [name] |
Bring one to you |
/npc reload [name|all] |
Respawn it if it looks wrong |
/npc randomizeall |
New random name and skin on every NPC |
/npc refresh and /npc respawn are reload. /npc unhide is show.
Hide vs remove
/npc hide keeps the NPC and everything about it, it just stops sending it to players. The hidden state is saved, so it stays hidden through a restart until you /npc show it.
/npc remove deletes the NPC instead. Use hide if you just want it out of a shot and might need it again.
When one looks wrong
/npc reload <name>Respawns the NPC for players. This is worth trying if its armour or appearance hasn't updated, but it won't fix a failed skin lookup or an unloaded world.
/npc reload all does the lot.
